Lauren D. M. Smith won Harlequin’s 2015 So You Think You Can Write contest with this book. (From what I can determine, it appears that this was the last time that this contest was run.) Daisy Goodwin, the author of the book Victoria, is also the creator and writer of the television series Victoria. From what I understand, this book covers most of the same material that is shown in the first season of the television show.
